Fort McKay is a rural hamlet in northern Alberta, Canada, located northeast of Fort McMurray. The community is primarily composed of Indigenous people, with many residents belonging to the Athabasca Chipewyan First Nation. Fort McKay is known for its oil sands developments, as well as its proximity to Suncor Energy's Millennium Mine and Syncrude Canada's Mildred Lake Mine.
